SIM900 Interfacing to 1286 board using SoftwareSerial

Hi!

I'm triyng to interface a SIM 900 GPRS module to the IND I/O board using a 1286 board.

I'm trying to use SoftwareSerial library, to comunicate with it, since I'm using also the main serial port as RS-485 interface. The only populated pins in the header that support Interrupt, according to Teensy++(same microcontroller) documentation are the MOSI, MISO and SCLK. But I haven't managed to read any serial data, using the library.

Have anyone manged to use SoftwareSerial with Indio board and the 1286?

Thanks.

Hi Again,

I'm currently working in a SPI interface for the SIM900 module. I'm using a Arduino Mega as SPI to Serial interface. I hope that I'll be able to use a Atmega 328.
